Once upon a mountaintop, three little trees stood and dreamed of what they wanted to become when they grew up. Each of their dreams come true in an unexpected way in this lovely retelling of an old folk tale. This classic story, beloved by young and old, is now retold in simpler text for younger readers. Recommended for ages 4 and under.

Author Information

Angela Hunt
Angela Elwell Hunt has authored over seventy books, including The Note, The Tale of Three Trees, and By Dawn's Early Light, a novel co-authored with Grant Jeffrey, which won the 2000 Christy Award for Christian fiction. Hunt resides in Tampa, Florida, with her husband and two children.
Angela Elwell Hunt sang professionally and taught school before beginning her writing career in 1983. A graduate of Liberty University, she has authored over fifty books and over 1,000 magazine articles for periodicals such as Moody Magazine, Today’s Christian Woman, Christianity Today, Parenting Today, Women’s Circle, and many other publications. Among her books are three historical fiction series for adults, two series for children, and The Truth Teller, a thought-provoking and action-packed novel about a young boy who is able to perceive truth in any situation. As numerous sides come together to gain a part of Hunter important questions are asked of today’s society and the perception of truth.

Hunt’s other popular series, LEGACIES OF THE ANCIENT RIVER, is set in ancient Egypt and allowed her to fulfill a lifelong goal of writing about the long-lost culture because of the interesting correlations between their time and ours.

When she’s not writing, Angela finds time to work with her husband in an active ministry for middle-school students, take part in the activities of her two children, sing professionally on the Clearwater Christian channel, and make quilts. The Hunts spent ten years working with Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia, and since 1987 have led a middle-school ministry in Florida.
